TEFAF — one of the world’s oldest and most elite art fairs — adds a fresh roster of dealers to its March 2019 edition in Maastricht.

For the first time in more than three decades, TEFAF shook up its selection process in a bid to open the fair to new applicants. Under the new rules, each section of the fair—which includes ancient art, antiques, jewellery, paintings, works on paper, and design—has its own selection committee.

The upcoming 2019 edition of the fair in Maastricht will see 38 new exhibitors added, with the biggest changes taking place in the fair’s modern section, where 13 of the 59 exhibitors are new, including Almine Rech, Pace Gallery, Gmurzynska, and Fergus McCaffrey.

Established in 1988 by art dealers for art dealers, TEFAF is widely regarded as the world’s pre-eminent organisation for fine art, antiques, and design. The fair has a proud history of showcasing masterpieces in every category of fine art – from antiques, Old Masters and Haute Joaillerie to contemporary painting, works on paper and 20th-century design.

The 2019 edition of TEFAF Maastricht will take place from 16 to 24 March.
